Ultrasonography

A system that utilizes high-energy sound waves to check out at tissues and organs inside the body. The sound waves make repeats that structure photos of the tissues and organs on a PC screen (ultrasound image). Ultrasonography might be utilized to assist with diagnosing illnesses, like disease.

Ultrasound is a useful way of examining many of the body’s internal organs, including but not limited to the:

Heart and blood vessels, including the abdominal aorta.
Liver
Gallbladder
Spleen, Pancreas

Kidneys
Bladder
uterus, ovaries, and unborn child (fetus) in pregnant patients

Ultrasonography can also be used to guide doctors when they remove a sample of tissue for a biopsy. Ultrasonography can show the position of the biopsy instrument, as well as the area to be biopsied (such as a mass). Thus, doctors can see where to insert the instrument and can guide it directly to its target.
